Animated map shows the most religious states in America
Gallup interviewed nearly 175,000 residents across the country in 2016 to determine how religious people were in each state. Over 480 interviews were conducted in each state with more than 1,000 interviews in most states. Based on the interviews, people were classified as “very religious,” “moderately religious,” and “nonreligious.”
